Please note the following:

1. During the main conference, symposia, workshops, short communications sessions, poster sessions
    and meet the expert sessions will run at the same time.
2. To register for the workshops, you need to register for the main conference first.
3. You can register for only one workshop in the morning and one workshop in the afternoon
    on the same day.
4. Select the workshops you would like to register from the below list.
5. Each workshop will accommodate approximately 30 participants.
6. The system will not allow you to register for a particular workshop if all places are already occupied.
7. Accredited CME/PD hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS):
  • 18 for the Pre-Conference Activities (AMEE - ESME Course and workshops); (Accreditation Number: 25548/2012, Accreditation Date: 6/3/2012).
  • 27 for the Conference Activities; (Accreditation Number: 25547/2012, Accreditation Date: 6/3/2012).
8. The decision about MOST of the submitted abstracts has been declared. Please login to your SIMEC
         account and check the status of your abstract. A message was also sent to your email.

9. Participants with accepted abstracts are eligible for 20% discount of the total fees of their
         chosen activities.
          Participants with rejected abstracts and those who have not submitted abstracts are eligible for
         10% discount of the total fees of their chosen activities.

  • Your chosen category will reflect  on your name badge
  • Pre-registration will end on 25 March 2012
  • Registration requests received after the 25 March 2012 needs to pay full onsite registration fees.
  • Copy of student ID OR  verification letter from current residency program required as a proof to enroll in the STUDENT category
  • Registration fees include access to main conference session from 24 – 26 April 2012, opening ceremony and exhibition. Also, entitled  for delegate bag, CME certificate of attendance.
  • Upon successful payment, registrants will receive a confirmation of registration to event.
  • No registration can be confirmed until payment received.
  • Delegate without a proof of payment will not allowed to attend the conference

Cancellation and substitution

  • If a delegate cannot attend the conference, SIMEC2012 can accept a substitute colleague before 25th March 2012. After this date cancellation fees will apply.
  • Requests for substitution will only be accepted by email to indicating the cancelled delegate confirmation number and the substitute details. The substitute must be from the same organization
  • If a delegate has to cancel hi/her registration before 25 March 2012, the full registration fee will be reimbursed (less applicable administrative cost of SAR200 for main conference registrants.
  • 100% cancellation charges will be applied for cancellations received after the 25 March 2012
  • No shows will NOT qualify for refund of registration fees
